We are close to the time when about half of our membership travels north for the summer. I’d like to wish you a safe trip. If you are staying here, or if you are not heading north just yet, check out the offerings on our education page. We still have a few classes left and we are still adding classes when demand makes it appropriate.

Remember that access to class listings and signing up for classes can be done on line from any computer with internet access. Expect class listings for the October to December term to be available in early October or very late September. You can go online in early October (the date will be in a newsletter and will be listed on the education page of the website) and sign up for classes.

A change this year is that the club has changed the membership year to run through September 30. TO BE ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES IN OCTOBER, YOU WILL HAVE TO JOIN THE CLUB OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR THE OCTOBER, 2011 THROUGH SEPTEMBER, 2012 YEAR. You will be able to do this starting in September by clicking on the Member Application link on the left edge of the club homepage.

The board has appointed a committee to look into ways to expand and improve our classroom. We hope to be able to teach more students, improve visibility of projected images, and support teaching about the newer hardware and software that is available.
